The .KIDS TLD is a dedicated online space of higher trust and confidence for all things kids. Whether it is entertainment or educational content for children and youth, products or services for kids or their parents, advocacy or charitable initiatives for the rights and welfare of children, a .KIDS domain sets your project apart by announcing your dedication to kids.

The upcoming Pioneer Domains Program is designed to identify qualified applicants with the best potential and capabilities to maximize the development of a Kids' Best Interest Domain. Applicants must submit a concise description of their plan to use and promote the domain name they applied for. The proposal should affirm that it will adhere to the .KIDS Guiding Principles: please see here for more details.

The Pioneer Domains Program is open until November 29, 2022 (15:59 UTC).

The registry PIR is excited about launching the .GIVING TLD into its family of mission-driven domains. .GIVING Launch Schedule:

Sunrise: From October 13, 2022 (16:00 UTC) until December 13, 2022 (15:59 UTC), for trademark holders with a valid signed mark data (SMD) file. In the event there are multiple eligible applications for the same domain, the registry will award the domain to the eligible applicant who first submitted the application.

Landrush: From December 20, 2022 (16:00 UTC) until January 20, 2023 (15:59 UTC), on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants are only eligible to register a domain name during Landrush, if they represent and warrant that they currently use one of Blackbaud’s digital giving solutions or will evaluate the free Giving Checkout™solution offered by JustGiving from Blackbaud available at this link.

General Availability (GA): As of January 20, 2023 (16:00 UTC). Domains are available for registration by the general public on a first-come, first-served basis.

fTLD will implement its new Registrant Domain Name Compliance Escalation and Suspension Policy (the “Policy”) effective January 1, 2023. More information about the Policy is available in this FAQ. Given security is the bedrock of .BANK and .INSURANCE, this Policy will ensure predictability of the timeline for addressing compliance findings.

fTLD currently notifies you weekly about your .BANK/.INSURANCE Registrants’ compliance issues and emails Registrants once a month. Both of these notices will continue.

In January 2023, fTLD will begin sending compliance escalation notifications for compliance findings not resolved within 30 days and not resolved within 60 days. These escalation notifications will go to the Registrant, verification contact, and Registrar. Compliance findings that are not resolved within 60 days as set forth in the Policy will be suspended (i.e., put on Registrar clientHold or Registry severHold) thereby disabling the .BANK/.INSURANCE domain’s website and email.

To announce the new Policy’s implementation date, fTLD will send Registrants an email on October 11th and reminders on November 10th and December 8th.
