Launch of New Domain Form Generator

Currently, Hexonet offers a white-labelled website that allows our customers to download pre-filled forms that are required by certain registries. You can find these forms here. We have made updates to this service and improved the performance by using a new technology stack. The new Domain Form Generator will launch on August 3, 2020.
Please note that while there is no change to the functionality on your part, the new Domain Form Generator can only be accessed through the hostname and not through an IP address. We have also made the Domain Form Generator available for the test environment (OT&E) which you can find here.

SSL Certificate Validity Period Reduction to 1 Year

In February 2020, Apple announced that its Safari browser will no longer trust newly registered SSL certificates with validity periods of two years beginning on September 1, 2020. Major Certificate Authorities that Hexonet works with are reducing their certificate validity periods to accommodate this change. To prevent incompatibility with specific browsers, Hexonet is implementing the validity period reduction earlier, and will only offer one-year SSL certificate starting on August 15, 2020.

Radix Updates to Premium Domain List

Last month, Radix updated the premium domain list for .SITE on July 2, 2020. Radix will perform a second update to their premium domain list on August 31, 2020. Changes will include the addition of new premium domains, removal of existing premium domains, or moving domains to a different tier.
On August 31, Radix will update the premium list for .ONLINE, .SITE, .SPACE, .STORE, .TECH, .WEBSITE, .FUN, .HOST, and .PRESS.

Brexit Updated for .EU
January 1, 2021

EURid has released an updated timeline for .EU domain names in response to Brexit. The registry will contact UK-based .EU registrants on October 1, 2020, asking registrants to demonstrate their eligibility based on citizenship in a remaining EU member state by December 31, 2020. On January 1, 2021, any UK-based registrants who have not demonstrated eligibility will have their domain name "withdrawn".
