First newTLD Sunrise Registrations Starting - DONUTS Skip to main.

The "newTLD Era" for HEXONET officially starts on December 19, 2013 at 10:00 UTC!  Though HEXONET has long been accepting thousands of Expressions of Interest (EOI) on the newTLDs, the first of these newTLDs are now opening for Sunrise registrations!  The first set of Sunrise newTLDs are being offered by Donuts, the biggest newTLD applicant.

TLDs & Schedules:

Round 1:

Round 2:

Round 3:

Round 4:

Sunrise: A pre-launch phase providing mark holders the opportunity to register domain names in a TLD before registration is generally available to the public. New gTLD registries are required to offer a Sunrise period of at least 30 days. Those companies with a validated trademark entry in the Trademark Clearinghouse can register their branded domain during the sunrise phase.  Sunrise periods will in most cases include an auction process, while some will be offered on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

EAP - Early Access program (In lieu of the typical landrush): The Donuts EAP will occur at the beginning of and is part of general availability for each TLD and lasts for seven days.  EAP registrations are offered on a first-come, first served, non-restricted basis.

GA - General Availability or Go Live: The General Availability phase follows all Sunrise and Landrush periods. This is the open-ended phase where the TLD is available on a "first-come, first-served" basis to the general public.

Pricing Details - Sunrise Phase

EAP - Early Access Program Pricing

In the EAP phase a special "one-time" fee applies in addition to the annual registration fee.  This one-time fee decreases every 24 hours during the first five days. You can create your pre-registration for a dedicated day according to the table below:

Day || Application Class
EAP Day1 || EARLYACCESS1
EAP Day2 || EARLYACCESS2
EAP Day3 || EARLYACCESS3
EAP Day4 || EARLYACCESS4
EAP Day5 || EARLYACCESS5
EAP Day6 || EARLYACCESS5
EAP Day7 || EARLYACCESS5

Since the price stays the same during the last three days there is only one Application Class accordingly. We will submit your pre-registrations in "first-come, first-served" order. If you have already applied for an EOI you can convert it to a domain application and will keep your position. One EOI can only be converted to one domain application and the EOI will not exist after a successful conversion any more.
