DNS Flag Day
“DNS Flag Day” begins February 1st, 2019 and is when DNS systems worldwide will no longer support backward compatibility features. This change is important because as of this date, old or misconfigured DNS servers will no longer function correctly. Specifically, zones hosted on servers that do not support EDNS0 queries will fail to resolve correctly.
All HEXONET infrastructure worldwide, including subsidiary and partner-managed systems, have already supported EDNS0 for several years. Customers, resellers, and Registrar Operations Center partners using HEXONET's DNS infrastructure are covered and have full support for EDNS0 queries.
For more information on DNS Flag Day please visit the DNS Flag Day website. The site provides a tool to test domain names for EDNS0 support.
